Dice. I like this piece myself as it shows the true history of gaming, before we all had HD pictures and AI that could screw us over without us even realizing the ease it did it. I feel this simplifies gaming to its base forms, playing the role of a character and using pure luck to play. I also prefered the focus on the front die, since it's a good front for all that occurs during game play. The fact the two dice are black and white also represents the differences in them. One light, one dark. As Locke would say. One original six sided dice, one new. Designing for games such as this.
To finalize, I did this piece to not only symbolize the olden styles of gaming, but as a tribute to Gary Gygax, may he rest in piece.
Heh thanks. Though I got my plurals of Die mixed up. My mistake. Trust me, I've never played it either. No one ever wanted to. Yeah I didn't know how to do it though, either selective colouring, or total black and white. In the end I just lowered the saturation to give it said stony, cold look. Thank you so much for your kind words!
Another perfect piece from Adrian! Man, your work never ceases to amaze me.
It's really inspired me, how much thought you put into every piece of work. This piece especially, when I read the caption, I was blown away by how much knowledge is embedded in the image.
